Womens Shoes, Mens, and Kids
Shoes are an essential part of just about everyone’s wardrobe. They are once an extension of one’s personal style, as well as a functional piece of clothing that makes a long day on your feet considerably more bearable. Today, men’s and kid’s shoes can be found in an astounding variety; but there is little argument that women’s shoes are by far the most plentiful on the shelves of shoe stores throughout the country. And because there is so much variety, finding the right shoes for both your needs and your personal style is simply a matter of taking the time to look around.
Welcome to Brickersshoes.com, where we believe that the right shoes can be the cherry on top of the sundae that is a fabulous outfit. Whether it’s a fashionable pair of pumps made by a well-known designer, a hip pair of sneakers for walking down to the coffee shop, or cowboy boots typically worn on the farm or in small towns, shoes can be a defining aspect of one’s personal style. However, with all of the different types of shoe that are available to today’s consumers, it is not always easy to know what options are best suited for a given occasion or circumstance. We have therefore designed our site as a resource of information pertaining to the basics of shoe design and style. In order to provide honest and reliable content, we do not formally endorse any one shoe company or retailer. The information we provide is strictly for informational purposes only.
Men’s and kid’s shoes are, more often than not, designed with the notion of function over fashion. This is particularly true with regards to children’s footwear, as kids tend to go through shoes like most adults go through socks. This is true for two reasons, with the primary reason being that children are constantly growing, and as such they outgrow their shoes fairly rapidly. The second reason is simply that kids tend to be harder on their clothing in general than adults typically tend to be. Now this being said, there are plenty examples of high-priced, designer shoes that are designed for children; however, for the average parent, these shoes are outside of their budget.
The world of women’s shoes, by comparison, is usually dictated by the whims of fashion more than true functionality. This is not to say that ladies shoes are necessarily uncomfortable, but they are generally designed to be visually appealing rather than to be worn for long periods of time; and this is especially true when it comes to dress shoes, which are prone to having fairly tall and narrow heels. Again though, this is a generality, as there are many other popular styles of ladies shoe that are considerably more comfortable than a pair of pumps. Summertime footwear often includes sandals, flip-flops, and of course the ever popular canvas sneaker. Wood-lined boots and similar styles have been all the rage for cold weather footwear in recent years, and each season brings a whole new line of styles from which to choose.
