Shoes FAQs
Is it a fashion faux pa to wear a pair of work
shoes out for a date?
It depends almost entirely on the style of the shoe to make an accurate
decision as to whether or not it would be fitting for a night out. Shoes
are like accessories that can be paired with a number of different items
to form a completed look. Shoes can definitely serve the dual purpose
of work and date attire. If you are worried about a look not being dramatic
enough for evening, play up different accessories like jewelry and a
scarf to add spunk.
I would like to buy a pair of boots, but often find that boots
will not zip up past my ankle, any suggestions?
Boots just like clothes are made on a scale that is supposed to be the
average size of a woman’s body. Finding a boot that fits is an
issue many women who are runners or participate in other physical activities
face. Although there isn’t a definite solution, I suggest looking
for a boot that has stretch sides as opposed to a zip up closure because
it offers more room due to the stretch.
I find high heels to be uncomfortable but like the way they
make my legs look, what can I do?
High heels can be uncomfortable to wear especially for long periods
of time; however, I suggest purchasing heels that have a platform front.
By having a platform on the front of a shoe is like taking the height
of the platform and subtracting it from the height of the back heel
decreasing the amount of strain on your feet.
